Corrections

Effective date: July 16, 2026 · Last updated: July 16, 2026

The Cents Report aims to be accurate in every article. When we get something wrong, we fix it promptly and note the change in the open. Accuracy is the foundation of the trust our readers place in us.

How we handle corrections

When a factual error changes what a reader would reasonably understand, we correct the article and add a dated note at the bottom explaining what changed. Minor typo fixes that do not affect meaning may be made without a note. We do not quietly delete or rewrite published work to hide a mistake.

How to request a correction

If you believe an article contains a factual error, please tell us through our contact page or email [email protected]. To help us act quickly, include three things: the article link, the specific fact or figure you believe is wrong, and, if you have one, a source for the correct information. A primary source, such as an agency page or an official filing, helps us verify fastest.

Corrections log

Significant corrections are recorded with the date and a short description of what changed. This page will maintain that record as the site grows.
